hardware mockup

i'm working on a custom furniture project but the wood-workers giving bids seem a little distrustful of my hardware detail. to test it out, i made a little mockup with some 2x4s. the execution is a little crude, but i think it will work just fine. i think the effect will be huge, photos of the final result sometime this fall, hopefully.
