this building is almost 100 years old, so clearly this arch is legitimate, but holy cow i would have never guessed it was so thin! it's super elegant, isn't it? and a little unnerving, perhaps.
i'm working on a custom furniture project but the wood-workers giving bids seem a little distrustful of my hardware detail. to test it out, i made a little mockup with some 2x4s. the execution is a little crude, but i think it will work just fine. i think the effect will be huge, photos of the final result sometime this fall, hopefully.
